# Dariro

> Dariro is a marketplace for paid promotion on social media in Zimbabwe. Brands fund campaigns; promoters with verified profiles on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X and YouTube take them, post labelled as paid (#ad or the platform's paid-partnership label), and are paid. Dariro holds the price of each job until the post is up. It never sells likes, follows, views or comments. Run by Sentrywave (Private) Limited, Harare.

Dariro has two sides, and uses one word for each:

- A **brand** is whoever pays: a business, a record label, an artist pushing their own song, an event organiser, a church, a school, an NGO, or a person with something to promote.
- A **promoter** is whoever posts for pay from their own following: musicians, comedians, skit makers, presenters, models, footballers, niche content pages (fashion, beauty, food, tech, faith, farming and more), and meme, news and community pages.

The same account can be both.

## How it works for brands

1. Sign in with a phone number (no password) and add money to the Dariro wallet through Pesepay or Smile Pay.
2. Publish a campaign: the platform, what to post (a post, a story, an ad in a video, or a quote or share of the brand's post in the promoter's own words), the brief, the brand's own video, banner or caption, the pay per promoter, the budget, the minimum followers and the time to post (1 hour to 30 days).
3. Open it to every verified promoter, or choose who posts from those who apply, seeing each one's profile and followers.
4. A promoter's pay is held from the wallet when they take the job, and comes back if they do not post by the deadline.
5. The brand has 48 hours after a post is delivered to approve it or report a problem. If they say nothing, the promoter is paid. When a problem is reported, the money stays held and Dariro decides.

## How it works for promoters

1. Link social media profiles and verify each one (a code in its bio, or the platform's own sign-in). Dariro records the followers.
2. Take a brand deal from the feed, or apply to one where the brand chooses. The pay is held for the promoter the moment they get the job.
3. Post what the campaign asks, labelled as paid (#ad or the platform's paid-partnership label), and paste the link. Dariro asks the platform whether the post is up.
4. Get paid to the Dariro wallet within 48 hours, and cash out to EcoCash.

## Fees and rules

- Free to join. Dariro keeps a service fee of 20% of each job's price; every campaign shows promoters what they get after the fee. Payment providers may charge for top-ups and payouts.
- Not allowed: bought followers, bots, fake likes or views, hidden adverts, scams, hate, adult content, or anything a platform forbids. Political content and regulated products (alcohol, betting, finance, health claims) are checked by Dariro first.
- Users must be 18 or over. Zimbabwean law applies.
- Dariro has an AI assistant for writing campaigns and finding jobs. AI never moves money: only a person's tap confirms a payment.
